Kristian Delgado, MD is a board certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management physician. He is well versed in both acute and chronic pain and has been treating pain both as a civilian physician and a United States Army Officer for a decade. Dr. Delgado is very passionate about the Texas community and the care of veterans and their families. He believes in addressing the entire person and treating the underlying pathology causing current medical problems. He joined Integrated Pain Associates to practice with a multidisciplinary, collaborative team sharing the goal of reducing the patients’ pain therefore improving their quality of life.
Dr. Delgado served as a clinical faculty consultant and associate professor while in the United States Army in multiple locations around the country and overseas. He taught and shared his knowledge and technical skills in numerous locations, including Afghanistan, with many NATO international assistance force physicians and students during his deployment. Dr Delgado has received numerous military commendations and awards during his military service.
Life Outside the Office
Dr. Delgado is a Texas native that received his undergraduate degree and attended graduate school at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He continued his education and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr Delgado completed a surgical internship at Carilion Clinic in Virginia and anesthesiology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He then went on to complete his interventional pain management fellowship at the University of California, Davis.
